Ming Avenue road closures: Pavement overhaul to disrupt traffic through November

Bakersfield has launched a major pavement rehabilitation on Ming Avenue between Buena Vista Road and Gosford Road, running from Sept. 2 to Nov. 26, 2025. Work happens Monday–Friday, 7 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., with lane reductions and periodic closures. Crews will repave the corridor, upgrade ADA ramps, refresh lane markings, and adjust utilities. Drivers should plan alternate routes and extra time.
